Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Summary Manager, Biospecimen Lead to partner with Clinical Teams to develop and implement a biospecimen management plan for BMS-sponsored trials. You will operate as an independent contributor, coordinating cross-functionally to ensure operational feasibility, regulatory compliance, and timely data delivery.

In this role you will oversee biospecimen activities across multiple studies, manage timelines, mentor colleagues, and contribute to process improvements

Qualifications

• 4+ years academic, biotech, healthcare or pharmaceutical industry experience or equivalent.
• Intermediate knowledge of clinical biospecimen procedures and lifecycle.
• Able to train new colleagues
• Effective communication skills
• Able to oversee 5-12 clinical trials and prioritize tasks

Responsibilities

• Oversee biospecimen management in 5-12 clinical trials, with minimal supervision.
• Develop Specimen Management Plan and mitigation steps.
• Provide biospecimen input in protocol authoring for feasibility and regulatory compliance.
• Track and reconcile biospecimen status using systems.
• Coordinate biospecimen activities with vendors and core teams.
• Participate in vendor audits and CAPA resolutions.
• Maintain study documents in inspection-ready state.
• Mentor and train new colleagues.
