Job summary

Sweco Design Center Poland, part of Sweco Group, seeks an experienced BIM drafting specialist to join our team in Poland. You will produce general arrangement drawings, 3D models, and detailed civil drawings, while advancing BIM processes across projects in residential, commercial, and civil sectors.

You will collaborate on digital initiatives, interpret sketches, and contribute to parametric design and digital twin efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in BIM drafting or modelling in engineering or construction.
• Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit.
• Very good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
• Nice to have familiarity with parametric design, task automation, or digital twin technologies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare general arrangement drawings, 3D models, and detailed drawings of civil structures through all project stages.
• Collaborate on digital initiatives related to parametric design, task automation, and digital twins.
• Interpret design and engineering solutions from sketches and concept drawings.
• Lead development and implementation of BIM processes for construction projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve BIM workflows and collaborate with stakeholders to implement improvements.

The Sweco Design Center Poland operates as an internal design center within the Sweco Group. It specializes in providing expert services in planning, engineering, architecture, and design across diverse sectors, including infrastructure, transportation, urban planning, construction, energy, manufacturing, and IT systems. The Design Center currently collaborates with three countries: Sweden, Norway and Denmark.

• Preparing general arrangement drawings, 3D models, and detailed drawings of civil structures throughout all stages of the project;
• Working collaboratively on digital initiatives related to parametric design, task automation, and digital twin technologies;
• Interpreting design and engineering solutions based on sketches and outline/concept drawings;
• Leading the development and implementation of BIM processes for construction projects;
• Identifying opportunities to improve BIM workflows and increase efficiency, and collaborating with stakeholders to implement these improvements.

What type of project will you work with:
Both new construction and renovation projects within residential buildings, schools, daycare institutions, sports and cultural facilities, commercial buildings, and office buildings. Civil structures – concrete, steel, and timber construction.

Our requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field;
• 5+ years of experience in BIM drafting or modelling within the engineering or construction industry;
• Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit;
• Very good communication skills in English (written and spoken);
• Good to have: familiarity with parametric design, task automation, or digital twin technologies.
