Job summary

Axpo Group in Warsaw is seeking a Market Risk Analyst to support daily and monthly PnL and risk reporting, building tools for risk analysis and automating recurring tasks.

You will collaborate with Market Risk and IT teams, enhancing data quality and reporting infrastructure, with a focus on Power BI, SQL, and international coordination. The role is hybrid, with an 18-month maternity cover and a path to development within a global energy company.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of proven experience with Power BI and SQL.
• Experience with PowerApps, PowerAutomate, Dataiku is a strong advantage.
• Understanding of financial markets and instruments (futures, swaps, forwards, options) is valued.
• Experience in market risk or quantitative analysis is preferred.
• Strong analytical mindset and structured, independent work style.
• Good business English and ability to communicate with international stakeholders.

What you will do:

• Develop and maintain daily and monthly PnL and market risk reports
• Build and improve tools supporting market risk analysis and reporting
• Enhance automation of business processes and recurring reporting tasks
• Collaborate with Market Risk and IT teams on technical development requests
• Support the continuous improvement of reporting infrastructure and data quality
• Contribute to transparent and reliable risk management processes

What you bring & who you are:

• At least 2 years of proven experience working with Power BI, along with strong, practical SQL skills.
• Experience with PowerApps, PowerAutomate, Dataiku, and financial institutions is a strong advantage.
• Understanding of financial markets and financial instruments, including futures, swaps, forwards, and options is highly valued.
• You bring experience in market risk, financial risk management, risk management, or quantitative analysis.
• You have an analytical mindset and work in a structured, independent way.
• You communicate clearly and confidently with different stakeholders.
• Experience in the energy, commodity sector and/or financial institutions is highly valued.
• You have very good business English skills and feel comfortable communicating in a professional international environment.
