Job summary

Biogen in Warsaw, Poland is seeking a BI Specialist to build and support US Commercial data enablement, self-service analytics, and reporting as part of the US Data Strategy. You will develop trusted data products in Snowflake and enable downstream Power BI reporting.

You will collaborate across IT, Finance, CE&O, Marketing, and Field Excellence, validate SQL queries, design data quality checks, and contribute to scalable data architecture while promoting data accuracy and self-service

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business, science, technology, analytics, or data-related field required.
• 3+ years in BI/analytics engineering, data enablement, or related data roles.
• Strong SQL skills with debugging, optimization, and validation, preferably in Snowflake.
• Experience building analytics-ready tables, views, joins, data models, DataMarts, or semantic layers for reporting.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT and modern cloud data platforms such as Snowflake.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal teams to understand business needs and data requirements across US Commercial functions.
• Translate business questions into analytics-ready datasets, tables, views, and reporting frameworks.
• Build and maintain logical datasets in Snowflake, including joins across data sources.
• Create and maintain business metrics, KPI logic, filters, and calculations for consistent analytics and reporting.
• Develop and validate SQL queries, data transformations, and logic for recurring reporting and ad hoc analysis.
• Review queries accelerated through AI tools to ensure accuracy and explainability.
• Design data quality checks, reconciliation, and QA processes for data assets.
• Partner with IT and data engineering on data integration and scalable architecture.
• Enable self-service analytics by delivering well-documented datasets and semantic layers.
• Develop and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards as downstream consumption layers.
• Document methodology, data lineage, metric definitions, and project notes.
