Job summary
IG Group is seeking a BI Analyst/Looker Developer to design and build Looker dashboards, closely partner with stakeholders, and tell the stories behind the numbers to drive better decisions. Qualifications
- Three or more years’ experience in BI development with dashboard creation.
- Expert knowledge of Looker and LookML, or comparable BI tool.
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis and manipulation.
- Solid understanding of data visualization best practices and UX design principles.
- Track record translating complex data into clear stories for non-technical audiences.
- Strong stakeholder communication, requirements gathering, and delivery management across multiple stakeholders.
- Desirable: familiarity with Tableau or other visualization tools; cloud data platforms, especially BigQuery; dbt and data modelling concepts; AI in analytics.

This role exists to turn IG’s data into clear, compelling insight that business users can act on. You will design and build intuitive Looker dashboards, partner closely with stakeholders across the business to understand what they need, and tell the stories behind the numbers in ways that drive better decisions. It is a role for someone who is as comfortable with stakeholders as they are with data, and who cares about how insight is communicated, not just produced.
You will join the Business Intelligence team, which acts as the centre of excellence for analytics across IG – making data, insight, and action usable across the whole business, from self-service dashboards to the AI agents and co-pilots that deliver value to business users and clients.
You will work in cross-functional squads alongside data engineers, analytics engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders, delivering measurable value within focused sprint cycles.
As a member of the BI Analysts Chapter, you will develop your skills alongside peers and rotate between squads based on business priorities – from operational-efficiency dashboards one sprint to marketing segmentation or product personalisation the next. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.
Design and build intuitive Looker dashboards that enable data-driven decisions for business users across IG.
Partner with business stakeholders across functions to understand their reporting needs and translate them into clear, effective visualisation solutions.
Turn complex data into compelling, accessible data stories that drive action.
Customise dashboards using HTML and CSS to enhance the user experience.
Produce documentation and run training that helps business users self-serve their data needs.
Partner with analytics engineers to make effective use of the underlying data models.
Contribute to the development of AI agents, co-pilots, and automated insights that surface data directly to users.
Three or more years’ experience in BI development, with strong expertise in dashboard creation.
Expert knowledge of Looker and LookML, or a comparable BI tool.
Strong SQL skills for data analysis and manipulation.
A strong understanding of data visualisation best practice and UX design principles.
A track record of translating complex data into clear stories and insights for non-technical audiences.
Strong stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to gather requirements and manage delivery across multiple stakeholders.
Desirable:
Basic HTML and CSS for dashboard customisation.
Experience with Tableau or other data visualisation tools.
Experience with cloud data platforms, particularly Google BigQuery.
Familiarity with dbt and data modelling concepts.
Familiarity with AI and how it can be applied to analytics products.
