Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Administrator to join our team, focusing on batch management and scheduling within the banking sector. You will support critical batch services running on IBM z/OS Mainframe, ensuring operational stability and resilience of enterprise batch scheduling processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in batch job management and IBM Mainframe administration.
• Deep knowledge of JCL for IBM z/OS with troubleshooting skills.
• Extensive experience with IBM Workload Scheduler (TWS/IWS) and batch error resolution.
• Excellent communication with management and stakeholders; ownership of critical batch processes.
• Advanced English; resident in Poland.

Responsibilities

• Manage IBM Workload Scheduler (TWS/IWS) for reliability.
• Develop and troubleshoot JCL jobs on IBM z/OS.
• Monitor batch processes and resolve failures to maintain uptime.
• Own end-of-day, end-of-month, end-of-year operations.
• Lead Incident, Change, and Problem Management per SLAs.
• Identify and mitigate batch risks to improve stability.
• Implement infra and scheduling changes to optimize batch workflows.
• Drive automation of build, test, deployment, and operations.
• Communicate with management and stakeholders about batch operations.
• Create and manage team shift plans for coverage.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.

Job description

We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Administrator to join our team, focusing on batch management and scheduling within the banking sector. You will play a crucial role in supporting critical batch services running on IBM z/OS Mainframe, ensuring operational stability and the resilience of enterprise batch scheduling processes. This remote position allows you to collaborate with various technical teams, driving continuous improvement and automation of batch management processes. Your tasks

• Manage and maintain IBM Workload Scheduler (TWS/IWS), ensuring optimal performance and reliability
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot JCL jobs on IBM z/OS to support batch processing
• Monitor batch processes, swiftly resolving failures and production issues to maintain operational integrity
• Take ownership of critical batch processes, including End of Day, End of Month, and End of Year operations
• Lead and coordinate Incident, Change, and Problem Management efforts, ensuring compliance with SLAs
• Identify and proactively mitigate batch-related risks to enhance service stability
• Implement infrastructure and scheduling changes to improve batch management efficiency
• Drive automation of build, testing, deployment, and operational processes to streamline workflows
• Communicate effectively with management and key stakeholders regarding batch operations and improvements
• Create and manage team shift plans to ensure adequate coverage and coordination among batch and application teams
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for batch scheduling and operational processes

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in batch job management and IBM Mainframe administration
• Deep knowledge of JCL for IBM z/OS on the mainframe, with proven troubleshooting skills
• Extensive experience with IBM Workload Scheduler (TWS/IWS) and resolving batch errors
• Effective communication skills with management and stakeholders, demonstrating ownership of critical batch processes
• Strong coordination skills within batch and application teams, ensuring smooth operations
• Advanced level of English, living in Poland

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of Horizont IWS Graph, BatchCP, BatchAD, and XINFO
• Familiarity with IBM Dynamic Workload Console (IBM-DWC)
