Job summary

Astek Polska is seeking a Business Analyst to join our client in the banking sector. The role involves designing and executing desktop testing exercises, coordinating workshops with senior stakeholders, and ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations across CCS operations.

You will work across Gdańsk, Gdynia, Warszawa, and Łódź with a flexible 3-days-per-week on-site arrangement. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years in business continuity and crisis management, with hands-on testing experience

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Operational Resilience, or related disciplines, with at least 1-2 years focused on testing, exercising or technical recovery planning.
• Proven hands-on expertise designing and executing testing exercises, including desktop exercises.
• Demonstrated experience in the FSI sector (banking, insurance, or equivalent), with an understanding of how large financial organizations operate and manage technology dependencies.
• Expertise in BCCM frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
• Excellent facilitation skills: ability to engage senior leadership and drive productive discussions.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining exercise objectives.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan desktop testing exercises aligned with CCS objectives and regulatory expectations for banking operations.
• Develop realistic, scenario-based stress tests that challenge manual recovery procedures across functions.
• Facilitate and host exercising workshops with stakeholders to validate crisis plans and identify gaps.
• Manage exercise logistics, including participant engagement, timing, documentation, and real-time facilitation.
• Develop exercise materials, participant guides, and facilitator notes for repeatable execution.
• Track actions from tests, coordinate follow-ups, and report updates to leadership.
• Document testing outcomes including findings and recommendations for improvements.
• Collaborate with business continuity and crisis management teams to align recovery plans with business continuity strategies.
