Job summary

Jit Team in Łódź is seeking a Senior Backup Engineer to drive a strategic NAS backup transformation, migrating backup policies from NDMP to DNAS and supporting enterprise backup environments. You will work with infrastructure and storage teams to ensure migration success and ongoing backup reliability.

The role focuses on migration execution, capacity optimization, and knowledge transfer to BAU teams, offering a dynamic international work context and opportunities for training funded by Jit.

Qualifications

• Experience in enterprise backup environments with Veritas NetBackup.
• Experience migrating backup architectures from NDMP to DNAS.
• Familiarity with Dell Data Domain storage and capacity planning.

Responsibilities

• Support migration from NDMP to DNAS backup policies.
• Configure, administer and troubleshoot Veritas NetBackup environments.
• Manage and optimize Dell Data Domain backup storage solutions.
• Perform backup migration activities and support project milestones.
• Monitor backup performance and implement optimization improvements.
• Conduct capacity planning and environment assessments.
• Investigate and resolve backup incidents and issues.

Project

We are looking for a Senior Backup Engineer to support a strategic NAS backup transformation initiative focused on migrating backup solutions from NDMP to DNAS policies. The role combines project-driven migration activities with operational support of enterprise backup environments.

As a part of the backup team, you will work closely with infrastructure and storage teams, ensuring successful migration execution, backup reliability, capacity optimization, and knowledge transfer to BAU teams.
