Job summary

NordPass is seeking a PHP engineer to contribute to feature development and maintain secure, well-tested code. You will work with Symfony/Slim and participate in design decisions that shape the product's direction.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of PHP, strong OOP and CI/CD knowledge, and a product-focused mindset. The role offers flexible work arrangements and global collaboration.

Main Responsibilities

• Contributing to the development of new features and maintaining the existing systems;

• Delivering high-quality, maintainable, secure, and well-tested code;

• Taking an active part in technical design decisions, refining processes, and contributing to the overall strategic direction of the product;

• Engaging in and facilitating various team ceremonies and improving processes.

Core Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience working with PHP and developing codebases written in its frameworks (Symfony, Slim);

• Solid understanding of OOP, asynchronous programming, and design patterns;

• Understanding of core CI/CD principles, unit testing, and integration testing;

• Product engineering mindset, focused on problems, outcomes, and impact.

Bonus Points For

• Experience implementing and optimizing secure authentication flows (e.g. OAuth, OIDC, JWT) and Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions;

• Hands-on experience using AI tools to augment engineering (e.g. code generation, test creation, performance tuning, and debugging), with strong ownership of outputs and results;

• Experience with AWS services (e.g. SNS/SQS, DynamoDB, EventBridge, ECS, S3);

• Familiarity with cryptography;

• Familiarity with Kubernetes.
