Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a Go backend engineer in Kraków to help build and evolve License Manager capabilities crucial for licensing and entitlement across Splunk products. You will work on secure, scalable backend systems with strong focus on performance and reliability.

You will collaborate with product management, support, and engineering teams to deliver features from design to deployment, with emphasis on code quality and test coverage.

Qualifications

• Strong, hands-on Go experience building scalable production services.
• Experience with distributed systems, APIs, secure service-to-service communication, and production support.
• Ability to reason about latency, throughput, memory use, concurrency, and failure modes.
• Strong testing, debugging, and production-troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, debug, and maintain core License Manager capabilities using Go and C++ to support secure, reliable, and scalable product functionality.
• Deliver well-scoped features, fixes, and enhancements from design through implementation and completion.
• Write clean, maintainable, and secure code with strong unit and integration test coverage.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, product management, support, and engineering partners to improve system behavior and grow ownership.
