Job summary

Cisco Systems Poland sp. z o.o. is hiring for our Lakehouse engineering team. You will own the delivery of features from design through implementation and release, building secure, maintainable distributed data-processing systems and contributing to the product roadmap.

Minimum qualifications include a CS degree with 5+ years, expertise in Java or Scala, and cloud experience (AWS/Azure) with infrastructure-as-code tools. Preferred skills cover Spark, containers, testing, and mentoring teammates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related STEM field with 5+ years of professional experience.
• Experience developing backend software in Java or Scala.
• Experience designing and implementing distributed systems.
• Experience deploying applications on AWS or Azure and using IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates).
• Experience writing automated tests and using version control and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own the delivery of features from design through implementation and release.
• Build secure, maintainable distributed systems with automated tests and documentation.
• Investigate and resolve complex production issues with root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with partners to refine requirements and communicate tradeoffs.
• Mentor colleagues and contribute ideas to the product roadmap.
