Job summary

INFOLET SP. Z O.O. in Kraków is seeking a Backend Engineer to design and develop scalable services and microservices. You will contribute to architecture decisions and ensure high performance in distributed systems.

You will work with an experienced team in a hybrid setup (2 days in the office, 3 days remote), using Java 21+ and Spring, Kafka, Azure, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL. Emphasis on clean code, testing, and ongoing improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with Java, preferably Java 21+.
• Very good knowledge of Spring / Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of OOP, clean code, and software engineering principles.
• Experience designing and developing microservices and distributed systems.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Hands-on experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka and/or Azure Event Hubs.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, including database design and optimisation.
• Experience with performance tuning and optimisation of backend services.
• Good knowledge of Git and GitHub.
• Practical knowledge of Linux and scripting/automation.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including protocols, routing, and network services.
• Experience using generative AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or Google Gemini in software development.
• Very good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• English allowing effective communication in an international engineering environment.

PROJECT

Join the Next Generation System Management (NGSM) team developing a modern network management platform for mission-critical radio systems.

As a Backend Engineer, you will design and develop scalable backend services and microservices, contribute to architectural decisions, and ensure high performance, reliability, and maintainability of distributed systems.

You will work in an experienced engineering team where technical discussions, clean code, modern technologies, and continuous improvement are an important part of everyday work.

YOU WILL

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and microservices using Java 21+ and Spring


• Contribute to architecture and technical design decisions for distributed systems


• Build and orchestrate microservices running in Kubernetes and cloud environments

• Experience mentoring engineers and driving technical discussions


• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices


• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to changing technical requirements
