Job summary

Silicon Data is seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to scale our GPU benchmarking platform. You will design, build, and deploy scalable backend services, owning performance and reliability in production.

You’ll collaborate with benchmark engineers and leverage FastAPI, Python, Redis, and SQL to deliver robust systems. Expect a fast-paced, autonomous environment with modern tooling for distributed architectures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development including shipping customer-facing web applications.
• Expertise in FastAPI or similar Python frameworks, including async/await patterns, dependency injection, Redis, and Pydantic models
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases, including query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning
• Proficiency with Git workflows, code reviews, and collaborative development practices
• Proven ability to implement CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, quality gates, and rollback capabilities

What You’ll Do

Required Qualifications

• Proven ability to implement CI/CD pipelines that enable safe, frequent deployments through automated testing, quality gates, and rollback capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

Interest or experience in high-performance computing and GPU infrastructure

• Experience deploying and scaling apps on AWS or other cloud platforms
• Containerization skills (Docker, docker-compose, Dockerfile)
• Hands-on experience with distributed systems and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Slurm)
