Job summary

Trinetix is seeking a proactive Backbone Build Engineer to lead data center migrations, coordinate fiber deployments, and manage multi-vendor network operations in a fast-paced international environment. You will work with field technicians and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of backbone services and validate DWDM fiber connectivity.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in network infrastructure projects, including data center migrations.
• Hands-on CLI experience in multi-vendor environments (Cisco IOS, Junos, Arista EOS).
• Familiarity with DWDM systems for verification and troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to manage suppliers and coordinate service delivery.
• Strong understanding of network protocols and configurations.
• Excellent problem-solving and under-pressure work.
• Effective cross-team communication.

In this role, you will play a key part in delivering critical backbone infrastructure projects, including data center migrations, fiber deployments, and capacity upgrades. Working within a fast‑paced, multivendor ecosystem, you will manage supplier relationships and help ensure the timely and successful delivery of services.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead and execute data center and customer circuit migrations.
• Coordinate with third‑party providers to install new fiber and deliver services (e.g., tails, cross‑connects).
• Work closely with field technicians to verify fiber patching and physical connectivity.
• Validate fiber connections and troubleshoot issues related to DWDM backbone link onboarding.
• Manage escalations and drive resolution for high‑impact infrastructure issues.
• Ensure timely and quality delivery of backbone orders by staying on top of supplier commitments.
• Perform network configuration and troubleshooting using CLI across various network operating systems (Cisco IOS, Junos, Arista EOS).

Requirements

• Solid experience in network infrastructure projects, especially data center migrations and fiber installations.
• Hands‑on experience with CLI in amultivendor environment(Cisco IOS, Junos, Arista EOS).
• Familiarity withDWDM systemsfor verification and troubleshooting of fiber connectivity.
• Proven ability to manage suppliers and coordinate service delivery (e.g., fiber, tails, cross‑connects).
• Strong understanding of network protocols and configurations.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Effective communication and coordination skills across internal teams and external partners.
