Qualifications

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Test Engineer to join our development team. As a Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will work closely with our development team to design, develop, and execute test cases, as well as identify and report bugs and issues. You will also contribute to the overall improvement of our testing processes and methodologies.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on software requirements and design specifications.

Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to identify software defects and ensure product quality.

Collaborate with the development team to understand product requirements and provide input on testability, usability, and quality aspects.

Identify, document, and track software defects and issues using bug tracking tools, and work closely with developers to resolve them.

Participate in the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks and tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes.

Conduct root cause analysis of defects and provide suggestions for improvement to prevent similar issues in the future.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software products.

Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing and quality assurance.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Software Test Engineer or in a similar role.

Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.

Experience in designing and executing test cases for web applications, mobile apps, or enterprise software.

Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

Proficient in using bug tracking and test management tools.

Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and prioritize issues effectively.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality software products.

Preferred:

ISTQB or other relevant software testing certifications.

Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.

Familiarity with performance testing tools, such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
