Job summary

ISS A/S is seeking a Cloud Hosting Engineer (Database) to drive the migration of on-prem databases to Azure and shift to PaaS. You will strengthen IaC, automate operations, and optimize storage such as Blob Storage and Azure Files.

You will own database and storage initiatives and collaborate across regions. The role requires hands-on work with IaaS and PaaS on Azure, and experience with CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps or GitHub.

Qualifications

Hands-on with database platforms (IaaS and PaaS) on Azure.
Experience migrating on-prem workloads to Azure with focus on performance, scalability and cost.
Strong automation of database and cloud operations.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with DB Operations to migrate and modernize databases to Azure.
Lead IaaS to PaaS transition for Azure services to improve reliability and cost efficiency.
Design storage optimization strategies (Blob Storage, Azure Files) and archiving solutions.
Automate database operations and strengthen IaC practices for standardized deployments and CI/CD pipelines.
Act as Product Owner for databases and storage, guiding decisions and queries.
