Job summary

PwC Poland is hiring a Cloud Data Engineer to join the Data, Digital Solutions & AI team. You will build data platforms, define data flows, and design migrations for modern data architectures using Azure-based tools such as Fabric, Databricks, and Data Factory.

The role requires 3+ years in data engineering or related areas, hands-on experience with Azure Databricks/Snowflake/Azure Synapse, and strong Python/SQL skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in data engineering or related areas (BI/Data Science).
• Experience building data warehouses, data lakes or lakehouses.
• Hands-on with data transformation in Python (PySpark) and SQL.
• Experience with Data Engineering CI/CD and release management (Azure DevOps/Jira).
• Proficiency in Polish and Business English at B2 level or above.

Responsibilities

• Build data platforms with data lakehouses, data warehouses, and data lakes using Azure-based tools (Fabric, Databricks, Data Factory).
• Define data flows across platforms and choose appropriate patterns (medallion, lambda).
• Design migration plans from legacy systems to target data solutions.
• Conduct data assessments with modelers/analysts to remediate data quality issues.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders and data architects to gather requirements and design architectures.
