Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a data engineer to develop scalable data processing platforms and ETL/ELT pipelines in Azure Databricks. You will work on Data Lake/Warehouse solutions, collaborate with analysts and data scientists, and mentor peers in a fast-growing center.

Required: 4+ years in large-scale data projects, Spark/PySpark, SQL/Python, fluent English and Polish, and Poland-based location. The role focuses on end-to-end data processing and documentation within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in data processing projects.
• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Experience with Spark / PySpark.
• Proven experience designing Data Lake/Data Warehouse.
• Ability to build ETL/ELT pipelines and use orchestrators.
• Commercial Azure cloud data projects (Databricks, ADF, Synapse, Fabric).
• Knowledge of distributed data processing and pipeline optimization.
• Fluent English and Polish language skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale data processing platforms in Data Lake/Platform.
• Create and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines from multiple sources in Databricks.
• Model data and shape structures for analytics needs.
• Implement batch and near real-time data processing solutions.
• Monitor, optimize, and evolve pipelines and processes.
• Collaborate with data analysts, BI teams, and Data Science.
• Gather requirements and propose optimal tech solutions.
• Document technical designs and solutions.
• Mentor less experienced team members and share best practices.
