Job summary

Accenture Poland is seeking a Cloud Architect to join the Cloud First team, designing and evolving secure, scalable Azure architectures for enterprise clients and leading migration initiatives.

You will work with DevOps to apply IaC and automation, optimize cloud costs, and guide integration across engineering teams while maintaining strong communication in English and Polish.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Azure cloud infrastructure engineering.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure, supported by advanced/Expert-level Azure certifications.
  • Ability to oversee the work of development teams, plan their tasks and translate technical requirements into a structured backlog.
  • Experience designing and planning highly available systems, including Disaster Recovery strategies.
  • Ability to translate client business requirements into technical specifications within a Landing Zone architecture.
  • Strong understanding of container technologies and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes/OpenShift/AKS).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools.
  • Solid grasp of virtualization technologies.
  • DevOps practices and tooling (Jenkins, Git/GitLab, Pipelines, Helm, ArgoCD).
  • Ability to develop scripts using Bash or Python.
  • Experience in cost/resource calculations and optimization for cloud environments.
  • Enterprise architecture experience in public cloud environments, including migration planning.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and incident management.
  • Upper-intermediate English and Polish (spoken and written).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end Azure architectures for cloud, hybrid and on-prem environments.
  • Define and implement compute environments, database services and CI/CD pipelines with on-prem integration.
  • Design cloud-native networking, security controls and cost management models.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, profiling and alerting for reliability and observability.
  • Prepare migration approaches and onboarding plans to Azure including cost/resource calculations.
  • Collaborate with DevOps to apply IaC and automation to improve delivery pipelines.
  • Lead or support incident, request, change and problem management activities.

THE WORK

As an Cloud Architect in our Accenture Cloud First team, you will help enterprise clients design and evolve secure, scalable and cost‑efficient cloud landscapes, supporting their digital transformation journeys.

Your work will include:

  • Designing end‑to‑end architectures for cloud, hybrid and on‑premises environments on Microsoft Azure, including Azure Landing Zones, governance and security models.
  • Defining and implementing compute environments (autoscaling, load balancing, serverless solutions), Azure database services and CI/CD pipelines, with integration to existing on‑premises services.
  • Designing cloud‑native networking (VNETs, peering, firewalls, container networking) and security & compliance controls (IAM, resource hierarchy, data security, cost management and billing).
  • Implementing monitoring, logging, profiling and alerting solutions to ensure reliability and observability of client platforms.
  • Preparing migration approaches and onboarding plans to Azure, including effort estimation, cost and resource calculations, and optimization scenarios.
  • Partnering with DevOps and engineering teams to apply Infrastructure as Code and automation practices, improve delivery pipelines and support a mature DevOps culture.
  • Leading or supporting incident, request, change and problem management activities, acting as a trusted technical advisor for client stakeholders.

Flexible: The work location for this role may include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office - depending on specific project circumstances. HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Comprehensive knowledge of DevOps culture, practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git/GitLab, Pipelines, Helm charts, ArgoCD).
  • Ability to develop scripts and applications using at least one language (e.g., Bash or Python).
  • Experience in cost and resource calculations, as well as optimization for cloud environments.
  • Enterprise architecture experience within public cloud environments, including creating migration plans and managing onboarding processes.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and managing incidents, requests, changes and problems.
  • Upper‑intermediate level of English and Polish (spoken and written).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE
  • Experience with at least one modern programming language (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI, Node.js, React, .NET, Python or Java).
  • Expertise in one or more Azure service categories, such as: Azure systems infrastructure (Windows/Linux OS, networking, storage, high availability, disaster recovery, cloud security, application performance).
  • App Services (Web Apps, Mobile Apps, API Apps, Logic Apps).
  • Experience in technical sales support or pre‑sales activities.
  • Kubernetes Developer or Security‑oriented certification.
