Accenture Kraków is seeking a backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications on AWS. You will build scalable APIs using Node.js and/or Python, manage infrastructure with Terraform, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

Ideal candidates have hands-on AWS experience, strong backend skills, and familiarity with microservices and Agile delivery.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AWS experience with Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3.
• Strong backend development in Node.js and/or Python.
• Experience with Terraform and IaC methodologies.

THE WORK:

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native backend applications and services on AWS, supporting enterprise-scale IoT solutions.
• Build and enhance scalable APIs and backend components using Node.js and/or Python while applying microservices and distributed systems principles.
• Manage cloud infrastructure through Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices, ensuring consistency, scalability, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, business analysts, and engineering teams to deliver technical solutions aligned with business needs.
• Drive system reliability, monitoring, troubleshooting, automated testing, and CI/CD improvements while embracing continuous learning, commitment to constant progress, proactive skill enhancement, and ongoing improvement.

Flexible: The work location for this role may include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office - depending on specific project circumstances. With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders, and communities. HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Proven hands-on experience with AWS cloud services such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3.
• Strong backend development experience using Node.js and/or Python.
• Solid experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.

• Experience with IoT platforms, connected device ecosystems, MQTT, or AWS IoT Core.
