Job summary

Kintec Global Recruitment seeks an experienced AWS Platform Engineer to support enterprise migrations, design and operate scalable AWS services, and deliver lift-and-shift or re-architecture projects. You will implement pipelines, manage IAM and security controls, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organisation.

Responsibilities include preparing target environments, executing migrations, and providing hypercare after cutovers, while improving observability and governance

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering large-scale cloud migrations using AWS migration patterns.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, CI/CD pipelines, and IaC.
• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, GitHub and AWS tools.

Responsibilities

• Assess workloads and select migration approaches per AWS 6 Rs framework.
• Prepare target environments, install software and execute migrations with cutover hypercare.
• Support containerisation and re-architecture using AWS EKS, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Build infrastructure and deployment pipelines using Terraform, GitHub, GitOps and AWS-native tools.
• Migrate databases with AWS DMS and SCT; design data-transfer solutions with AWS DataSync and S3.
• Provide day-to-day operational support for AWS services and core products.
• Collaborate with platform architects, application teams and stakeholders throughout delivery.
• Set up monitoring, KPIs, alarms and alerts with CloudWatch and Config.
