Job description

Holisticon Connect is a division within NEXER GROUP - a custom software development company. We started in Poland in 2017 and are now a team of over 140 people with offices in Wrocław, Warsaw, and Cracow. We have the opportunity to work with world-renowned brands from Scandinavia, the UK, and Western Europe. Our goal is to grow stronger, in competence rather than in numbers. If you like what we do, check out our offer, maybe we will have the pleasure of meeting you!

We’re looking for a skilled AWS Data Engineer to support us on a part-time basis in building a cloud-based data infrastructure for a fast-growing UK company in the e-mobility sector.

This is a project-based role, ideal for a freelancer or contractor who wants to contribute to a meaningful, greenfield initiative – with flexible working hours and no daily stand-ups or corporate red tape.

You'll help design and implement a serverless, scalable data platform that replaces manual reporting with automated pipelines and Power BI dashboards.

What You'll Do

  • Design and implement a cloud-based data infrastructure using AWS services (e.g. S3, RDS, Lambda);
  • Build serverless, event-driven ETL pipelines to process and transform large datasets from multiple sources (CSV via sFTP, APIs);
  • Migrate and consolidate historical data into a central data lake and structured data warehouse;
  • Automate a critical business report that directly impacts funding decisions;
  • Securely integrate the new data warehouse with Power BI to support reporting and washboarding;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to validate and optimize the proposed pipeline architecture;
  • Support planning of future data platform development phases.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Impact: Your work will directly influence key business and investment decisions;
  • Autonomy: You’ll validate and optimize the proposed architecture and suggest improvements
  • Modern stack: Work with AWS-native, serverless tools and Power BI;
  • Greenfield: No legacy systems to fight with – clean, scalable architecture from day one.

You Will Earn

  • B2B: 180 – 200 PLN net/hour + VAT

You might be the perfect match if you are/have:

  • Proven commercial experience as a Data Engineer working with AWS (S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM);
  • Strong knowledge of ETL processes and data modeling best practices;
  • Hands-on experience with Python or another programming language used for serverless processing;
  • Familiarity with batch data ingestion, particularly via sFTP or AWS Transfer Family;
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and scalable, cloud-native data solutions;
  • Understanding of data warehouse principles and Power BI integrations;
  • Practical experience with CloudWatch for monitoring and logging of serverless workflows;
  • Attention to data quality, testing, and error handling in data pipelines;
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset – you'll work closely with both tech and business teams.

Moreover, We Appreciate Skills In These Areas

  • Experience with tools like Hightouch, Hubspot, or Fuuse (not required);
  • Prior work on data platforms for energy, IoT, or e-mobility projects.

By Joining Us, You Gain The Following

  • Opportunity to work on exciting, international projects in cutting-edge industries like Automotive, Biotech, IoT;
  • Possibility to develop in cloud technologies. We are a certified AWS partner;
  • Becoming part of a team that believes that the next step to a promising future is to put your heart into it and make it happen;
  • Respect for your private life so you don't have to work overtime or on weekends;
  • Team Events budget to socialize outside of work;
  • Company Events to celebrate smaller and bigger successes (Summer Party, Programmer's Day, and trips abroad – so far we've been in Cape Town, Are, and Barcelona).

Perks And Benefits

  • Fully remote work or in our office in Wrocław, Warsaw or Cracow;
  • Free benefits such as Luxmed, Multisport, and life insurance in Nationale Nederlanden;

  • Personal Training Budget with additional paid hours;
  • Passion Day - an extra day off for your hobby to spend as you please;
  • Flexible working hours with no micro-management approach. Our core hours are 9-15, the rest of the working time is up to you;
