Job summary

SoftServe is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Architect to drive cloud transformation initiatives for enterprise customers, focusing on solution shaping, discovery workshops, assessments, pre-sales activities, and executive engagement.

You will work across multiple customer engagements to modernize environments, define cloud strategies, and execute migration programs, combining business consulting with solution architecture and collaboration with AWS and customer teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in IT, including at least 3 years as a Cloud Architect, Solutions Architect, or a similar client-facing role.
• Strong expertise in AWS architecture and hands-on experience with cloud migration and modernization programs.
• Proven experience conducting customer-facing activities such as workshops, assessments, requirements gathering, and solution shaping.
• Solid background in pre-sales, effort estimation, proposal development, and solution design.
• Deep understanding of cloud architecture, security, networking, automation, containers, CI/CD, and infrastructure modernization.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage technical teams, business stakeholders, and C-level executives.
• AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, Security Specialty, Advanced Networking, or equivalent).
• Willingness to travel internationally for customer meetings, workshops, conferences, and strategic engagements.
• German language skills (nice to have)

Responsibilities

• Lead customer workshops, assessments, and discovery sessions to identify business and technical requirements
• Design AWS-based architectures and migration strategies for enterprise-scale modernization initiatives
• Translate business objectives into scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud solutions
• Support pre-sales activities including solution design, estimations, proposal preparation, and customer presentations
• Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders, from engineering teams to executive leadership
• Collaborate with AWS teams and internal stakeholders to drive successful customer outcomes
• Contribute to go-to-market initiatives, solution accelerators, and cloud service offerings
• Mentor architects and engineers, sharing best practices and supporting capability growth within the organization
