Job summary

Skywise is seeking a Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and operate scalable AWS cloud infrastructure for Skywise solutions. You will automate infrastructure, monitor reliability, and drive cost optimization while collaborating with Solution Architects and hosting teams.

The role emphasizes continuous delivery, security, and best-practice hosting. Hybrid work with 3 days in Gdansk, international projects and occasional travel may apply.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in designing and building secure cloud solutions (AWS).
• Automation skills with scripting and IaC (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins).
• Public-Cloud Associate certification required (AWS SSA or equivalent).
• Enterprise networking knowledge.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects to transition solutions to in-support phases.
• Ensure system reliability through proactive monitoring and issue resolution.
• Automate operations using Infrastructure as Code and configuration management.
• Monitor hosting costs and define optimization actions with stakeholders.
• Support make-or-buy decisions and onboarding of contractors.
• Promote cloud operational best practices and security compliance.
• Lead tech watch and explore new AWS offerings for Skywise future.
