Job summary

Cisco ThousandEyes is seeking visionary Software Engineers to join our Autonomous Security team, shaping the next evolution of cybersecurity with autonomous AI agents. You will design, build, and deploy AI agents that act as autonomous security researchers and first responders, moving from human-in-the-loop to human-on-the-loop in a self-healing infrastructure.

Qualifications

• DevSecOps with CI/CD, Kubernetes and cloud-native security.
• Experience with LLMs, Prompt Engineering or building Agentic workflows.
• Proficiency in Python or Go; IaC (Terraform, Pulumi).
• Hands-on with Kubernetes, Service Mesh, and GitOps tools (ArgoCD, Kargo).
• Understanding of OWASP Top 10, CVE lifecycles and modern exploit techniques.

Responsibilities

• AI Agent Development: Build and fine-tune LLM-based agents to perform automated vulnerability research and code analysis.
• Autonomous Remediation: Develop self-healing pipelines that generate, test and deploy patches and updates via Kargo and ArgoCD.
• Threat Mitigation: Design AI-driven logic to detect anomalous traffic and update WAF rules or service mesh configurations in real time.
• Pipeline Integration: Integrate AI security tooling into CI/CD to make security automated and frictionless.
• Security Orchestration: Build the nervous system linking security scanners with AI agents to prioritize and resolve alerts without manual triage.
