Job summary

Slate Auto in the United States is seeking a Group Leader to oversee daily assembly operations, lead Team Leaders and Team Members, and drive safe, efficient production with a focus on continuous improvement in quality, safety, and productivity.

You will collaborate with planning, logistics, and engineering to optimize workflow, enforce safety standards, and report KPI metrics such as OEE and downtime. Strong leadership and lean manufacturing experience are essential.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years related experience with Bachelor's degree; 6 years with Master's degree; 3 years with PhD or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Automotive OEM experience preferred and JIT manufacturing exposure.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations ensuring timely, quality production of automotive Trim, Chassis, or Final Line.
  • Monitor production schedules and adjust resources to meet production demand and delivery timelines.
  • Collaborate with production planning, logistics, and engineering teams to optimize workflow and resolve bottlenecks.
  • Enforce safety standards, OSHA regulations, and environmental compliance.
  • Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and manage staffing levels.
  • Drive lean manufacturing initiatives and process improvement methodologies.
