Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automation & Controls, Mechatronics, Electronics, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years in industrial automation within highly automated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with PLC programming (Siemens TIA Portal) and/or robotics (Fanuc).
  • Knowledge of SCADA, OPC, MES integration and industrial protocols.
  • Experience creating requirement specs, functional designs, test protocols, and validation reports.
  • Strong understanding of motion control, robotics, vision, and material handling.
  • Ability to solve complex challenges and implement innovative automation solutions.
  • Experience in multicultural and cross-functional environments. Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop automation requirements, specs, and control architectures.
  • Program, test, and commission PLC-based systems using Siemens TIA Portal.
  • Develop automation solutions with robotics, vision, conveyors, AGVs, and equipment.
  • Lead FAT and SAT tests and validate system performance.
  • Integrate equipment with MES and higher-level control systems.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Quality and Design teams.
  • Evaluate automation suppliers for robotics, motion control, vision, and assembly.
  • Drive continuous improvement for equipment performance, reliability, and energy efficiency.
  • Provide technical support for manufacturing operations through KPI-led improvements.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and 5S standards compliance.
