Job description

  • Are an ambitious DevOps Engineer who can add value based on in-depth technical knowledge.
  • Have experience in automation scripting using one or more of the following languages: Perl, Ruby, Bash, Python, PowerShell.
  • Have 3+ years of experience.
  • Have extensive experience with Red Hat Linux Administration (Unix/Linux).
  • Have experience with Application Servers like Tomcat.
  • Know well Web Servers such as NGINX, Apache, etc.
  • Good knowledge of relational databases, including Oracle.
  • Familiar with Agile/Scrum practices, methodologies, and attitudes.
  • Good understanding of Software Architecture, security, networking, Distributed (cloud) storage, AWS S3, GFS, etc.
  • Working experience in Pega Administration and/or other JVM-based applications is a plus.
  • Experience with Monitoring and Alerting solutions (ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, Alert manager).

Your responsibilities:

  • Help your team grow and think of ways to make solutions scalable and future-proof.
  • Design, develop, and implement continuous improvement processes through automation.
  • Automate routine tasks and optimize code and infrastructure.
  • Deliver the CI/CD pipelines, automation, tooling, resilience, and security necessary for smooth feature delivery of our customers' applications.
  • Maintenance and development of a VM-based environment, support for migration to container and cloud solutions.
  • Operational responsibilities (incident/service management and compliance).

Banking has changed dramatically over the past years. With ING’s Think Forward Strategy, we are creating a differentiating customer experience. We are providing a Process Automation Platform (using Pega software) to 40+ countries to enable our strategic ambitions.

The purpose is to productize our process automation capabilities to the rest of ING worldwide. The Process Automation Platform/One Pega Platform provides a standard and easy way to digitize processes and offers process automation capabilities like workflow management using Pega BPM software. As part of our Platform as a Service model, we are providing our customers with services like software reusable components, infrastructure, lifecycle management, pipelines, self-service capabilities, and architectural guidance to help them build their customer journey applications, assisting them with the heavy lifting of activities that are not a differentiator in their value proposition and providing them with great opportunities for reuse across teams, domains, and countries.
