SCS Global Services is seeking a Contract Field Verifier to support site visits for agricultural carbon offset verification projects in Eastern Europe. This contractor will act as an in-field representative of the SCS verification team, responsible for collecting observational data, conducting interviews, and documenting site conditions to inform the overall audit process. The role is focused on supporting the site visit component and does not include full audit responsibilities.
Ideal candidates will have experience in auditing or inspection, expertise in agriculture, and be based in or near Eastern Europe (e.g., Poland, Germany, Netherlands). Availability for travel in November is required. Familiarity with Verra’s Verified Carbon Standard and VM0042 methodology is a strong plus.
This is a remote contract position with fieldwork required at agricultural project sites in Eastern Europe. The contractor will work independently in the field while coordinating closely with the SCS verification team. Site visits may involve outdoor work in variable weather conditions and rural settings. Communication and documentation will be conducted electronically, and flexibility in scheduling is essential to meet project timelines.
