Job summary

Spyro Soft in Kraków is seeking a QA Engineer to lead verification and validation of advanced audio/video conferencing products in a hybrid role. You will drive hands-on testing of video and audio solutions across embedded Linux and Android environments, with cross-platform coverage on Windows, macOS, Linux, and ChromeOS.

Your work includes test planning, execution, and delivering data-driven quality reports to global customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–5 years in QA/testing with hands-on video/audio experience.
• Advanced experience in embedded Linux and Android environments.
• Strong cross-platform testing across Windows, macOS, Linux, and ChromeOS.
• Understanding of AV codecs, streaming protocols, and multimedia performance metrics.
• Familiarity with USB, Bluetooth, and WiFi/Ethernet protocols.

Responsibilities

• Video & Audio Solution Testing (Primary Focus).
• Hands-on testing of video/audio products such as cameras and conferencing systems.
• Design and execute test scenarios for real-world AV usage and cross-platform integration.
• Collaborate with product teams to uphold high multimedia device quality standards.
• Embedded & Cross-Platform Testing across Linux, Android, Windows, macOS, Linux, and ChromeOS.
• Validate connectivity and AV quality over USB, Bluetooth, and Wifi/Ethernet.
• Test planning and execution; develop comprehensive test coverage for AV features.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4–5 years in QA/testing roles, with demonstrable, primary hands-on experience in testing video and/or audio products (e.g., cameras, conferencing devices, mics, video bars, streaming solutions)

• Advanced experience working in embedded Linux and Android environments

• Strong cross-platform testing skills (Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS) with a focus on audio/video functionality

• Understanding of AV codecs, streaming protocols, and multimedia performance metrics

• Understanding of USB, Bluetooth, and Wifi/Ethernet protocols

• Proven ability to clearly document test results and communicate findings effectively.

Nice to have:

• Experienced in using AI tools in day-to-day workflow

• Experience using network sniffers (e.g., Wireshark) and debugging tools (e.g., ADB) for analyzing embedded and cross-platform communication issues

• Programming skills (e.g., Python, Bash scripting) to support test automation or troubleshooting

Main responsibilities:

• Video & Audio Solution Testing (Primary Focus)

• Take the lead in hands-on testing of video and audio products, such as cameras, microphones and conferencing systems

• Analyze, design, and execute test scenarios focused on real-world audio/video usage, assessing streaming quality, feature sets, and cross-platform integration

• Collaborate actively with product teams to set and maintain the highest quality standards for multimedia devices

• Embedded & Cross-Platform Testing

• Drive testing of multimedia device performance in embedded Linux and Android environments, plus Windows, macOS, Linux, and ChromeOS systems

• Validate a full range of device connectivity, emphasizing AV quality over USB, Bluetooth, and Wifi/Ethernet

• Test Planning & Execution

• Review requirements and specifications to develop comprehensive test coverage with special priority for audio/video features

• Maintain and execute detailed test cases, ensuring thorough evaluation around AV quality and product risk

• Prepare and present clear, data-driven reports on product quality
