Biogen in Poland is seeking an Associate Manager of Strategic Sourcing for the HR & Professional Services category. You will lead end-to-end sourcing and contracting, engaging stakeholders and ensuring policy compliance in a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

About This Role:

As the Associate Manager of Strategic Sourcing for the HR & Professional Services Category, you will be a pivotal member of our technology sourcing team, delivering essential operational support. This role involves managing the end-to-end sourcing process, including contracting execution and supplier interactions, ensuring strict adherence to procurement policy and category guidance. You will lead standard sourcing events, RFx execution, and contract completion, acting as an operational partner to HR and Professional Services stakeholders through cross-functional collaboration. Your efforts will ensure quality, timeliness, and consistent application of strategic sourcing and contracting processes, contributing significantly to Biogen's business objectives and operational excellence.

What You’ll Do

• Own standard category requests from start to finish, reviewing specifications and ensuring compliance prior to execution.
• Execute sourcing processes for low-to-medium complexity events, including RFx execution and negotiation.
• Gather and analyze spend data and conduct market research to identify sourcing opportunities.
• Design and execute RFx events, ensuring correct structures, evaluation criteria, and timelines.
• Manage contracts end-to-end for assigned sourcing events, ensuring compliance and audit readiness.
• Maintain comprehensive records of contract negotiations and approvals.
• Manage supplier performance activities and identify potential supplier risks with relevant mitigations.
• Engage stakeholders in operational sourcing and contracting activities.
• Support the HR & Professional Services Sourcing Team in coordinating due diligence and approval processes.
• Implement process improvements within operational scope and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
• 3+ years of experience in procurement or sourcing roles with hands‑on responsibility for sourcing execution and contract management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with contract review or negotiation.
