Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology invites applications for an assistant professor (F/M) in the Department of Organic Chemistry, Faculty of Chemical Technology and Engineering. The successful candidate will teach organic chemistry and biochemistry courses, engage in research activities, and strive to secure funding from national and international sources.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in chemistry or a related discipline.
• Experience in national and international research projects, project documentation, publications, and conferences.
• Teaching certification or willingness to complete a teaching certification course.
• Knowledge of English sufficient for scientific research and publications.
• Polish language skills for teaching if the candidate is foreign.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and participate in the Department’s research and teaching activities.
• Teach selected courses including lectures, classroom exercises, and laboratory sessions totaling at least 240 hours per academic year.
• Develop and prepare laboratory exercises and supporting materials; participate in degree program councils.
• Engage in research activities and seek funding from national and international sources.
• Demonstrate creativity, commitment, and ability to work individually and in a team.
