You will actively participate in planning, conducting and implementing research, perform lab work with human samples, optimise DNA library preparation for NGS and Oxford Nanopore sequencing, manage

Qualifications

  • PhD in biotechnology or related field required.
  • First-author publication in a peer-reviewed international journal.
  • Minimum one year of international research experience.
  • Experience with NGS library prep and long-read sequencing.
  • Experience with biological materials and molecular biology techniques.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

  • Plan, conduct and implement research activities per project.
  • Carry out lab work with human samples and molecular biology techniques.
  • Optimize and validate DNA library prep for NGS and Oxford Nanopore sequencing.
  • Organise and oversee handling of biological samples.
  • Perform preliminary analysis and interpretation of sequencing data.
  • Maintain research documentation and prepare materials for publications and patents.
  • Present results at team meetings, seminars and conferences.
  • Provide training and supervision to junior researchers.
  • Collaborate with clinicians within the project.
