Job summary

Institute of Genetics and Animal Biotechnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IGAB PAS) in Jastrzębiec near Warsaw invites applications for Assistant professor / Adjunct (Polish “adiunkt”) in the Department of Experimental Genomics. The position is permanent and based on the Act governing Polish Academy of Sciences and higher education laws.

The candidate will lead experimental genomics projects, supervise doctoral students, and contribute to annual and final project reports.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biology, Biotechnology, Animal Science, Agriculture, Health Sciences, Medical Sciences or related field.
• Experience with cell lines and animal models, molecular biology and biochemical techniques.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design experiments for your project role.
• Perform lab work including cell culture and animal model experiments.
• Analyze data statistically and supervise doctoral students.
• Prepare reports and grant proposals for funding agencies.
