We offer 2 postdoctoral position 1, 2 in Work Group 4 (WG4) of the CENTERA2 research unit of the Center for Advanced Materials and Technologies (CEZAMAT) at the WUT. WG4 (led by PhD Agnieszka Siemion) conducts research into terahertz optical systems and their components and is responsible for developing and constructing new devices and systems, with the goal of rapid technology transfer and commercialization. CENTERA2 is a project with a proposed research and development program focused on new achievements in terahertz science and technology.

Eligibility criteria
1. Submission of all required documents:
1) a letter of application to the Vice-Rector for General Affairs;
2) a CV (up to 3 pages) including the clause:

3) candidate’s personal information form;
4) copy of the diploma of higher education confirming the obtained master’s degree or an equivalent degree;
5) a certified copy of the PhD diploma;
6) a list of research, teaching and organizational output and achievements;
7) other documents certifying additional qualifications;
a) the full capacity to perform acts in law,
b) enjoying full civil rights,
c) not being convicted by a valid sentence for an intentional crime or an intentional tax offence,
d) no disciplinary penalty as defined in Article 276 section 1 items 7 and 8 of the Law on Higher Education and Science of 20 July 2018 being imposed on them.
2. PhD in physics or related field providing for an understanding of THz properties of matter; this title must be obtained not earlier than in year 2021.
3. Good publication record in the field(s) specified.

Selection process
Candidates who have submitted complete application will be screened by a recruitment committee and selected candidates will be invited for a web-based or telephone-based interview in front of the committee in October/November 2026 (in-person interviews are also possible at the candidate’s expense). WUT reserves the rights to close the competition without selecting a candidate. In such a case, a new job offer will be published.
