About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Senior Accountant / Assistant Controller to join our team and take ownership of core accounting operations. This is an opportunity for someone with a strong accounting foundation who wants to expand into a broader leadership track. You’ll manage the company’s day-to-day accounting functions, support monthly and annual close, strengthen controls, and partner with leadership on budgeting and reporting.

StyleSeat is a 90-person, fast-moving, and innovative company. Experience in tech or SaaS is a plus, but we also welcome candidates from other industries who thrive in dynamic, high-growth environments.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the month-end close process and preparation of GAAP-compliant financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow), overseeing staff work and supporting annual audits.
  • Partner cross-functionally on payroll, vendor management, board reporting, and financial insights for operations.
  • Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting systems, tools, and processes.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred but not required).
  • 7+ years of accounting/finance experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, month-end close, reconciliations, and audit preparation.
  • Experience in tech, SaaS, or other fast-paced industries is a plus but not required.
  • Nice to have: Experience with QuickBooks or Xero.
Salary Range

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The career level we are targeting for this role has a base pay between $136,600 - $180,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. Base pay ranges are subject to change and may be modified in the future.
