Job description

This trainee professional role requires a solid foundation in operational processes, procedures, and systems within a dynamic financial services environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing critical asset servicing events, contributing to process enhancements, and upholding stringent risk control standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Applies a good knowledge of a wide range of specialized administrative/technical skills to monitor, analyze, and/or evaluate processes and data.

  • Develops a foundational understanding of underlying concepts and principles upon which asset servicing operations are based.

  • Manages the reconciliation and processing of positions specifically related to Corporate Action and Proxy events.

  • Executes routine operational tasks, including administering defined procedures, performing analyses, and preparing comprehensive reports.

  • Performs multiple transactions of moderate complexity, ensuring accuracy and timeliness that directly impacts team objectives.

  • Applies analytical thinking and utilizes data analysis tools to identify process improvements and support project implementation.

  • Interprets data to contribute to recommendations for process enhancements, new product/service launches, and platform upgrades.

  • Minimizes operational risk through strict adherence to procedural requirements, diligent error monitoring, and timely issue escalation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent practical experience is preferred.

  • A minimum of 2 years of related experience in a financial operations or asset servicing capacity.

  • Demonstrates basic executional capabilities and a proactive approach to taking on increased responsibilities.

  • Possesses knowledge of multiple investment instrument types, including Equity, Fixed Income, and Asset-Backed securities.

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word, with a desired proficiency in Access.

  • Proven success as a collaborative and effective team player within a professional setting.

  • Ability to make evaluative judgments based on the analysis of factual information and resolve problems using technical experience.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying information concisely, logically, and respectfully.
