Job summary

OEC’s Applied AI team is seeking an individual contributor to lead the development of machine learning solutions across our Mechanical business, including personalization, search and recommendations, forecasting, NLP, fraud detection, and GenAI. You will own end-to-end models from framing problems to production deployment and accountable for business impact.

You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and leadership, run experiments and A/B tests, and mentor fellow data scientists while

Qualifications

• 3+ years of applied data science or ML experience.
• Experience deploying production models that improved business metrics.
• Strong Python, SQL, AWS, Airflow, and MLflow proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end ML solutions across personalization, search, forecasting, NLP, and GenAI.
• Own models from development to deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and leadership to achieve measurable outcomes.
• Run experiments, A/B tests, and causal analyses to quantify impact.
• Mentor other data scientists and establish modeling best practices.
