Job summary

Hitachi Energy seeks an MES Application Manager to oversee the lifecycle of MES applications across a Poland/Europe region. The role involves working with factories, key users, and the application management team to implement features, train users, and ensure service delivery per SLA.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in IS & Operations, MES/MoM experience, SAP PP/PS familiarity, and strong ITIL knowledge, plus fluent English and willingness to travel ~30%.

We seek for a “ MES Application Manager ” who will be able to demonstrate knowledge with below details:

  • Business Proximity Maintain relationship with multiple factories (quality / operations / production managers) and key users aligning on drivers and objectives
  • Review with key-users+ 1x/2x a week Manufacturing community build up
  • Provide trainings and knowledge transfer on deployed system capabilities to the key-users and end-users and feedback channeling to the application management team
  • Inform and explain on the new features coming
  • Audit the applications usage and drive business to fully utilize the systems
  • Analyze incoming business requests translating into product feature enhancements requirements
  • Identify new opportunities for services deployments
  • Leveraging the business relationship in usage of the Globally available functionalities
  • Applications Operations Management Manage the entire lifecycle of incidents & change request from gathering the requirement unit testing, deployment & hypercare ensuring service delivery according to the SLA
  • Ensure applications availability, performance, and setup (password / users / routings / install base / etc.)
  • Ensure technical documentation availability and accuracy for the application(s) in scope
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure team to identify / mitigate vulnerabilities & develop remediation strategies to minimize potential adverse impacts (e.g.: Patching) vulnerabilities
  • Support the CDC with the Vulnerability Management Service to ensure timely and accurate identification and mitigation of potential threads
  • Propose and deliver actions required to improve the overall quality of the service
  • Maintain the proper SNOW and CMDB setup for apps in scope
  • Maintain a relationship with the applications vendor’s developers dedicated for a given region/site
  • Implement Change Requests to managed systems
  • On-site Presence Audit, analyze and challenge MES/ECS business process configurations and their mappings into the factories manufacturing processes
  • Together with factory mgmt. team: guide, implement, test and deploy configuration changes
  • Survey and gather in person feedback on the applications performance and issues
  • On site support for new project and major system upgrades go-lives during the factory acceptance testing and hypercare period
  • Support in complex implementations of processes digitalization e.g. quality, labor management (with local language translations support)

Your background

  • Seniority with +5 years of experience within IS & Operations
  • Understanding of discreet manufacturing processes (knowledge of Hitachi Energy TR/HV is welcome)
  • Understanding of software solutions in the area of MoM/MES (knowledge on MES/ECS is welcome)
  • Understanding of SAP (PP/PS module, Production Order management)
  • Thorough knowledge of IT service management concepts (ITIL).
  • Systematic approach, business mindset, good articulation skills
  • Fluent English language, written and spoken
  • Estimated 30% travel
