Job summary

Sigma Software in Kraków is seeking a Middle Android Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. You will join a product-focused team building mobile solutions used by hundreds of thousands of users worldwide.

You will participate in architecture discussions, implement Clean Architecture, integrate NFC/Bluetooth/Camera SDKs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial Android development experience.
• Strong Kotlin and modern Android practices.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Flow, Retrofit.
• MVVM and Clean Architecture experience.
• Solid fundamentals: OOP, data structures, design patterns.
• Experience with dependency injection and unit testing (Mockito/JUnit).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently drive feature development and technical solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; intermediate+ English.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
• Refactor, optimize, and modernize existing Android codebases.
• Implement scalable and maintainable features following Clean Architecture principles.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Integrate native Android capabilities including NFC, Bluetooth, and Camera SDKs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including iOS, QA, backend, and product stakeholders.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Contribute to code quality initiatives, peer reviews, and continuous improvement processes.
• Support CI/CD and engineering automation initiatives.
