Job summary

Diverse CG Sp. z o.o. Sp.k. is seeking a skilled embedded/Linux engineer to join our team in Warsaw. You will boot new hardware, develop Linux kernels and drivers, implement HAL interfaces, and build AOSP images for feature-rich devices.

You will use Android Build System tools, work with Git and Gerrit workflows, and perform low-level debugging with JTAG, gdb, adb, and fastboot. Polish language knowledge is required.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of Linux kernel internals and memory management.
• Proficient with Android build system and Git/Gerrit workflows.
• Strong debugging with JTAG, gdb, adb, and fastboot.

Responsibilities

• Board Bring-Up: booting new hardware from scratch and configuring firmware.
• Kernel & Driver Development: Linux kernel and writing/porting device drivers for hardware peripherals.
• HAL Implementation: interface for Android framework APIs to communicate with hardware components securely.
• AOSP & Image Building: compiling and configuring the Android Open Source Project to create modular OS images.
• Testing & Certification: CTS, GTS, and VTS compliance tests.

Responsibilities

• Board Bring-Up: Booting new custom hardware from scratch, initializing the bootloader, and configuring low-level firmware
• Kernel & Driver Development: Customizing the Linux Kernel and writing/porting device drivers for hardware peripherals (e.g., Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, displays, touchscreens, sensors, and cameras)
• HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) Implementation: Creating the interface that allows Android framework APIs to communicate with underlying hardware components securely
• AOSP & Image Building: Compiling and configuring the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) to create modular OS images (such as boot.img, vendor.img, and system.img)
• Testing & Certification: Ensuring compliance with hardware requirements by running Google Mobile Services (GMS) certification tests (CTS, GTS, and VTS)

Requirements

• Programming Languages: C, C++, and Java
• Operating System Knowledge: Expert proficiency in Linux, including kernel internals, device trees, and memory management
• Build Systems: Hands‑on experience with Android Build System commands (e.g., lunch, m) and version control tools like Git and Gerrit
• Debugging Tools: Using JTAG, gdb, adb, and fastboot for low-level system troubleshooting
• Knowledge of Polish language
