Siedlce University of Natural Sciences and Humanities invites applications for an Assistant Professor (research and teaching group) in medical and health sciences, focusing on oncology nursing, surgical nursing and palliative care, within the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences (Institute of Health Sciences).

Candidates must hold a medical/health sciences doctorate and a master's in nursing, with a nursing license and subspecialisations.

• Must hold nursing license and have specialisations in surgical, oncology and palliative care.
• Must have completed prescribing medicines and wound care specialist courses.
• Polish language competence for teaching is required.

Rector of Siedlce University

announces the competition for the position of:

• An assistant professor (in the research and teaching group), m/f
• discipline: medical sciences/health science (oncology nursing, surgical nursing, palliative care)
• at the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences (Institute of Health Sciences).

Skills/Qualifications

Candidates applying for the above position should meet the requirements set forth in Article 20(1) points 1-3 and Article 113 points 1 and 2 of the Law of July 20, 2018 - Law of Higher Education and Sciences and:

• hold a doctor degree in medical and health sciences;
• hold a master’s degree in nursing;
• hold a license to practice as a nurse;
• have a specialisation in surgical nursing;
• have a specialisation in oncology nursing;
• have a specialisation in palliative care;
• have completed a specialist course: prescribing medicines and issuing prescriptions;
• have completed a specialist course in in wound care;
• have sufficient knowledge of Polish to conduct academic classes with students.

• Information on his/her scientific, teaching and organizational activities, including a list of achievements.

Planned employment as of January 1, 2026

On the basis of 92 paragraph of the Statute of Siedlce University, the Rector reserves the right to withdraw from the settlement of the competition for important reasons.
