Job summary

FormativGroup is seeking an Aladdin Front Office - Technical Analyst to join our Financial Services practice. Remote with 50% US travel, you will support front-office trading via BlackRock Aladdin, manage the trade lifecycle, and mitigate operational risk across front, middle and back offices.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on Aladdin Front Office experience, solid investment operations knowledge, and strong analytical skills using Excel and SQL to validate data and optimize workflows.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with BlackRock Aladdin Front Office (OMS, trade blotters, IBOR views, cash management, matching).
• Strong investment operations knowledge and front-to-back trade lifecycle understanding.
• Proficiency in Excel and SQL for reconciliation, validation, reporting and analysis.
• Experience troubleshooting trade or operational issues in fast-paced investment management or capital markets.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across Trading, Operations, Technology and external partners.
• Ability to prioritise multiple activities with high accuracy in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Support and oversee front-office trading activities within the BlackRock Aladdin platform.
• Coordinate and monitor the complete trade lifecycle from order creation through settlement.
• Perform cash, position, and transaction validations using Excel and SQL to identify discrepancies.
• Utilize Aladdin Front Office functionality including OMS, pre-trade compliance, trade blotters and portfolio analytics.
• Review post-trade activity including allocations, trade matching, confirmations, and settlement status.
• Partner with Trading, Operations, Compliance, and external counterparties to resolve trade exceptions and improve efficiency.
