Woodward, Inc. seeks a Quality Engineer – Airworthiness, Certification & MRO Operations to support aviation quality, compliance and certification within a Part 145 environment.

You will ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and support airworthiness programs across maintenance, repair and overhaul activities. You will collaborate with engineering, maintenance, operations, regulators and customers, lead audits, drive corrective actions, review records, and support transition projects to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Experience in aerospace, MRO, or regulated aviation environment.
• Working knowledge of Part 145 requirements; exposure to Part 21 or certification activities desirable.
• Experience supporting audits, compliance activities, and quality system processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support compliance with Part 145 requirements, including certification, documentation, and regulatory interactions.
• Support quality activities within MRO operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer, and internal requirements.
• Prepare for and support internal, customer, and regulatory audits, including follow-up of corrective actions to closure.
• Investigate nonconformances, perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Review maintenance records, inspection documentation, procedures, and quality system documentation to ensure compliance and operational readiness.
• Partner with engineering, maintenance, operations, and quality teams to support process improvements and successful transition projects.
