Job summary

Mistral AI is seeking an AI Scientist to push the boundaries of large language models, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and design, build and deploy cutting-edge AI solutions. You will contribute to advancing open, high-impact AI systems and work across modalities such as text, image, and speech.

You will develop scalable training, evaluation, and deployment tooling, partnering with engineers and product teams to deliver real-world AI capabilities that transform enterprise applications.

Qualifications

• Proficient in at least one programming language (Python or similar).
• Hands-on experience with AI frameworks or distributed systems.
• Strong software design and production-readiness mindset.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop novel methods to push frontier models.
• Work across use cases and modalities (text, image, speech).
• Build tooling and infra for training, evaluation, and analysis at scale.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers and product teams to ship impactful AI systems.
