Job summary

Yellows is seeking an AI Engineer for a B2B contract to design and implement solutions based on language models and ML. You will collaborate with product and development teams, ensure quality and security, and shape AI practices within the organization.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English for technical documentation and team communication.
• Strong Python experience and backend service development.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Azure OpenAI or open-source).
• Experience building RAG systems and using vector databases.
• Prominent skills in prompt engineering and evaluating model responses.
• Solid understanding of ML/NLP fundamentals and their practical applications.
• Experience with REST APIs and service integrations.
• Proficient with Git version control.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing/builds.
• Basic Docker knowledge and exposure to one cloud provider (Polish National Cloud, AWS, GCP or Azure).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI solutions using LLMs from PoC to production integrations.
• Build and optimize RAG systems including vector DB selection and embedding strategies.
• Create AI agents/workflows leveraging tool use and function calling.
• Develop, test and optimize prompts for reproducibility and cost control.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, Frontend and QA to integrate AI components.
• Ensure quality, security and observability of AI solutions including monitoring and data protection.
• Propose tooling/framework improvements and contribute to internal AI standards.

We are looking for an AI Engineer (B2B contract for the duration of the project, with the possibility of extension) who not only designs and implements solutions based on language models and machine learning, but also collaborates with product and development teams, ensures the quality and security of the delivered solutions, and actively participates in shaping AI practices within the organization.At Yellows, we value growth, flexibility, and a partnership approach. • Designing and implementing solutions based on LLMs (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT, open-source models) - from proof of concept to production integrations in client applications
• Building RAG systems, including the selection of vector databases, chunking strategies and embeddings appropriate for a given use case
• Designing and implementing AI agents and workflows leveraging tool use, function calling and MCP
• Creating, testing and optimizing prompts - with an emphasis on reproducibility, measurability and control of inference costs
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Product Owner, designers, backend, frontend, QA) on integrating AI components with web and mobile applications
• Ensuring the quality, security and observability of AI solutions - model evaluation, monitoring, protection against prompt injection, control of sensitive data
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of processes - proposing enhancements to tools, frameworks and internal standards for working with AI.

Desired skills:

• Good knowledge of English - working with technical documentation, papers, and communication within the team
• Very good knowledge of Python and experience in building backend services
• Hands-on experience working with language model APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Azure OpenAI or open-source)
• Experience in building RAG systems and working with vector databases
• Experience in prompt engineering and in designing evaluations of model response quality
• Understanding of the fundamentals of machine learning and NLP
• Experience with REST APIs and integrations between services
• Experience with the Git version control system
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes (pipelines, automation of tests and builds)
• Basic knowledge of Docker (e.g. running development containers) and one of the cloud providers (Polish National Cloud, AWS, GCP or Azure).
