Job summary

AXA XL in Wroclaw, Poland is seeking an Actuarial Analyst for the Reinsurance Pricing team. You will support pricing across Marine Energy and Whole Accounts, collaborating with underwriters in Bermuda, London, and other actuaries worldwide to deliver robust pricing strategies.

The role offers exposure to cross-region projects, interactions with executive management, and a clear path for professional growth within AXA XL’s Specialty Reinsurance Pricing group.

Qualifications

  • Experience in actuarial/statistical function or team.
  • Knowledge of Lloyd's market is a strong plus.
  • Strong Excel skills and data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pricing support for Marine Energy and Whole Accounts.
  • Assist actuarial elements of the business/strategic planning process.
  • Develop pricing methods and parameters for the Reinsurance Segment or regional projects.
  • Collaborate with regional actuaries and underwriters.
  • Produce management information and analyses for underwriters and management.
  • Monitor man-made accumulations and contribute to capital model inputs.

Actuarial Analyst, Reinsurance Pricing Poland

Wroclaw, Poland

We are looking for a talented and motivated professional to join the Specialty Reinsurance Pricing team at AXA XL. In this role you will provide support to the Specialty Reinsurance Pricing team in all aspects of pricing covering a wide range of products and territories. You will work closely with underwriters and have exposure to executive management from the very start. There will also be opportunities to participate in cross-region and cross-product projects at a Reinsurance segment level.

You will be an Integral part of Specialty Reinsurance Pricing, working actively within a cross-functional team, particularly with underwriters in Bermuda, London and other actuaries around the world.

AXA XL Re writes approximately $1.5bn of annual gross written premium and provides significant career development opportunity for the right candidate over the longer term. Our region encompasses reinsurance markets across the global including US, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia. The Specialty Reinsurance Pricing team partners directly with underwriting and executive management as we look to develop and deliver our strategic objectives.

What you’ll be doing

What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Work with actuaries and underwriters during renewals by providing pricing support focusing on Marine Energy and Whole Accounts, but with opportunities to get involved in other lines of business within reinsurance
  • Assist with work on the actuarial elements of the business/strategic planning process
  • Assist with the development of actuarial pricing methods and pricing parameters, as part of the Reinsurance Segment or with regional projects
  • Liaise with other members of the actuarial and underwriting team in the region and across the segment
  • Produce management information and other analyses to assist underwriters and the management team
  • Monitor and regularly report on man-made accumulations across the portfolio
  • Provide input into the quarterly reserving process and annual capital model parameterization where appropriate

  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Fluent English (spoken and written)
  • Some experience working as part of an actuarial/statistical function / team, withLondon Lloyd's marketknowledge being a strong plus
  • Knowledge of Insurance Industry
  • Ability to communicate confidently and effectively, including understanding complex problems and being able to explain them clearly to others
  • High attention to details, and hence rigorous and accurate work
  • Proactive approach to organisation with ability to plan and prioritise work
