Overview

Role: EMEA AP Team Leader. You will oversee the accounts payable function across multiple countries (Accounting or Vendor Master Data + AP Helpdesk), ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, expense reports, and payments while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. You will drive continuous improvement, business transformation, and the adoption of best practices, modern tools, and technologies. You will partner with and influence strategic sourcing, production plants, and other departments. You will work in a hybrid model from our Katowice office and report to the Manager, Accounts payable. The role will manage a team of approximately 12 direct reports.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the accounts payable or Vendor Master Data + AP Helpdesk team, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of all accounts payable transactions or processing of vendor master data requests and replies to AP queries.
  • Lead change and transformation.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines with strong support from the P2P GPO.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and internal/external partners.
  • Maintain good relations with suppliers, resolving discrepancies and ensuring timely payments.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the accounts payable function.
  • Create and maintain up-to-date process documentation and SOPs to simplify and automate processes and promote cooperation among teams.
  • Hire, train, and mentor accounts payable staff to maintain a high-performing team.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation is accurate and readily available.
  • Oversee the monthly closing of financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial statements and reports.
  • Identify and address process deficiencies by discovering root causes.
  • Collaborate with P2P GPO to foster a modern mindset and environment in AP, supporting global proactive spend management, working capital improvement, and cash management.
The Essentials - You Will Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (or relevant experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 1-2 years in a people leadership role.
  • Team management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Proficient English – spoken and written, minimum B2 level.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have
  • Experience managing accounts payable functions across multiple regions or countries.
  • Experience or good understanding of procurement and end-to-end P2P process.
  • SAP knowledge.
