Job summary

JLL in Warsaw is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant for the JBS business line. You will process vendor invoices across Europe, ensure timely postings and accurate ledger reflections in line with corporate policy and SOX requirements.

The role requires fluent Polish and English, strong Excel and ERP knowledge, and the ability to work within a hybrid Warsaw Spire environment with cross-functional teams in Poland and India.

Qualifications

• Fluent Polish and English language skills are essential.
• Experience in accounting and preferably in a shared service center or large financial organization.
• Solid understanding of accounts payable accounting practices.
• Analytical mindset with strong Excel and ERP competence.
• Experience with PeopleSoft or similar ERP is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure bank reconciliations for outgoing payments.
• Confirm and reconcile vendor statements.
• Manage vendor contacts and communicate with suppliers.
• Provide excellent internal customer service.
• Assist with AP account reconciliations and discrepancy resolution.
• Resolve AP issues in line with SLAs.
• Collaborate with team members in Poland and India.

Sector Overview

The JLL Business Service (JBS) is an established accounting and finance operating Centre owned and managed by JLL to support all of JLL EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) operations and is the finance and accounting Centre for European accounting processes, including: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Contract to Billing, JBS finance, IFM and Asset Management.

Role Purpose

The successful candidate will be required to ensure that all received invoices from different European countries are processed in a timely and efficient manner, are correctly reflected in the ledgers, in line with corporate policy / statutory and SOX requirements.

What this job involves:

• Processing vendor invoices in a timely and efficient manner
• Ensuring bank reconciliation for outgoing payments
• Confirming / reconciling vendor statements
• Managing vendor contacts
• Contacting suppliers via phone/e-mail
• Providing superior customer service to internal clients
• Assisting with the reconciliation of AP controlled accounts and resolution of discrepancies identified
• Solving of AP issues in line with Service Level Agreements
• Cooperating on daily basis with team members and other departments based in Poland and India

• Fluent spoken & written Polish and English is a must
• Knowledge of French languages is preferred
• Experience in accounting
• Experience in a shared service center or a large financial organization is desirable
• Good understanding of accounts payable accounting practices
• Analytical skills
• Good knowledge of Ms Excel
• Ability to work within tight operational deadlines and handle a number of tasks and priorities
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft or another ERP package is an advantage
