NETWORK SECURITY ENGINEER - IT DTE - BUHO

The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and enforcing cybersecurity policies, monitoring network and system threats, and ensuring compliance with best practices for both network and software environments. The position requires hands‑on experience in implementing and managing security solutions to safeguard enterprise infrastructure and data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor, detect, and respond to network and system threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents.
• Establish and enforce cybersecurity policies and procedures aligned with organizational goals.
• Configure, manage, and maintain network security devices such as firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS/IDS), and VPN solutions.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices related to both network and software.
• Manage and optimize endpoint protection, email security, and identity/access management solutions.
• Collaborate with IT Infrastructure and Application teams to ensure secure architecture design and system resilience.
• Prepare detailed reports on incidents, vulnerabilities, and risk mitigation measures.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of emerging threats and recommend proactive measures.

Qualification & Experience:

• BS (with 03 years relevant experience) or MS (with 01 year relevant experience) in Cyber Security, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
• Candidates having certification(s) in CCNA Security / CCNP Security, CompTIA Security+ / Network+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect / Security Administrator Associate will be given preference.

Skills Required:

• Strong understanding of network protocols, firewall policies, and intrusion prevention systems (IPS/IDS).
• Knowledge of SIEM tools, email security, and endpoint protection.
• Familiarity with backup systems, failover clustering, and secure cloud configurations (O365, Azure).
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and incident response skills.
